Worked out from completed gifts every time this page loads. Nothing is rounded up, and a pledge that has not been paid is not counted.
A blank building on Almaden Expressway, turned into a Jewish home one phase at a time — each phase paid for by the people who will use it.
Done — June 2022
The community bought our permanent home at 5580 Almaden Expressway. After the fire, an address of our own that nobody can take away.
Under construction — since September 2024
A preschool, a kitchen, a social hall, a teen lounge and a playground. Where the children are, where people eat together, and where teenagers have somewhere of their own to be.
The last stage
The final phase of the build, and the one that completes the house.
Where each phase stands can move. The phase plan is here, and it is worth calling us before you plan a gift around a date.
In December 2021 a fire destroyed our center, and what had been built since 2020 was gone in a night. The story of that year, and how the community came to buy this site, is on the building’s own page. It is worth reading before you give.
We also accept gifts by Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, check and bank transfer, and gifts of stock, a car or land — the details for each are here. If your employer matches, a gift to this campaign qualifies like any other; check yours.
A dedication, a pledge over several years, or anything you would rather discuss than click through — say so here and the Rabbi will call you back himself.
Chabad of Silicon Valley is a registered 501(c)(3), EIN 84-3752618. Gifts to the building fund are tax-deductible to the extent the law allows.
