Hebrew School
Ten minutes, all your children in one form. Nothing here commits you to anything — if you decide it is not for you after the first Sunday, that is entirely fine and we will say so first.
So that you can gather what you need first, or decide you would rather do this over the phone. It is about ten minutes, and all of your children go on the one form.
Your name and email. A phone number too, if you would rather be reached that way — it is optional.
First name, and last and Hebrew name if you want them recorded. Their grade or age, and a T-shirt size. Add as many children as you have; there is a button for it and you do not fill the form in twice.
Allergies, medical conditions, medications, dietary needs, and your doctor’s name and number. Every box is optional. Leave blank whatever does not apply — an empty box is not a wrong answer.
Somebody we can reach if we cannot reach you. A name, how they are related, and a number.
Names, one per line — anyone besides you who may pick them up. If it is only ever you, say that.
One tick box: I’d like to talk about the cost. Ticking it means somebody calls you. There are no income figures to enter, no documents to send, and nothing to prove. No child is turned away over money.
A tick box per child, asking whether photographs of them may be used in our materials. Entirely optional, and leaving it unticked changes nothing about your child’s place.
The medical answers, the emergency contacts and the pickup list are encrypted before they are stored, so they are not readable in the database itself. If the encryption key is ever missing, the form refuses the submission rather than storing those answers in plain text.
A year after you register, they are cleared automatically — the health details, the contacts and the pickup names all go. What stays is the ordinary record that your child was in Hebrew School that year. A shul that keeps a decade of children’s allergy records has a decade of them to lose, and there is no reason to hold them once the child has moved on.
