A thought for every day of the Hebrew year, from the Rebbe’s book. It is the same entry every year, on the same Hebrew date.
1 Sh'vat 5787
The daily recital of Tehillim (after davening[1]) applies equally to Chabad chassidic shuls and to those who follow the Ashkenazic or Polish nusach[2] - may G‑d be with them.[3] On account of ahavat Yisrael, love of our fellow...and especially in view of the importance and inner purpose of saying Tehillim with a minyan, which literally affects all of Israel, materially in "children, life and sustenance," and spiritually ...we must endeavor with every means possible that it become an established practice in every shul of every nusach.
Compiled and arranged by the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, of righteous memory, in 5703 (1943) from the talks and letters of the sixth Chabad Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn, of righteous memory.
See "Saying Tehillim," Kehot.
