Sit under the stars for a week. Our sukkah is open to everyone — bring the kids, bring a friend, or just come.

What happens in the Sukkah

A sukkah is a temporary hut with a roof of branches, open enough to see the sky through. For a week, meals move outside into it. That's the whole Mitzvah, and it's a surprisingly good one: eating outdoors, with people, for seven days running.

You are welcome to come and sit in ours whether or not you have anything planned. If you want to take the lulav and etrog while you're here, we'll have a set on hand and show you how.

Building one at home

If you would rather have your own — and a Sukkah in the garden changes the week entirely for a family with children — we can help you get one. We've arranged Sukkah purchases for people before and can talk you through what size makes sense, what it costs and how long it takes to arrive. Ask early: they need ordering well before the holiday, not the week of.

If you have one already and are stuck on the schach, the walls, or whether the tree overhanging it is a problem, that is a five-minute phone call and a welcome one.
