Yahrzeit

The anniversary of a death, kept on the Hebrew calendar — which is why it falls on a different day each year, and why it is easy to lose track of.

It is marked by lighting a candle at nightfall as the day begins, saying Kaddish if you are able to be at a minyan, giving Tzedakah, and learning something in their memory. If you would like us to arrange a Minyan, or to help with any of it, just call 408-910-2034.

Enter the date your loved one passed (the regular calendar date), and we'll find this year's Hebrew-calendar anniversary.

Get a reminder each year

Tell us the date, and we will write to you a week before and again the day before — with the date, the Minyan times, and a reminder to light the candle. Nothing else.
